Sets for a long table
Six or more of anything, matched out of one firing. Allow seven to eleven weeks and expect a deposit of a third. We will tell you honestly if the date you need is not possible.

There is no help desk and no ticket number. Messages land on the same laptop that sits on the glazing bench, and they are read between firings.
A question about a glaze, a date you need a present by, six bowls for a long table — all of it goes in the same box and all of it gets a reply.
The drying shelves, two days before a firing. Your message is read about three metres from here.
Open without an appointment
Via del Fosso runs along the old canal inside the walls. Ours is the green door between the ironmonger and the bicycle shop; there is no sign, only a fired tile with the number on it at eye height.
The nearest parking is Piazzale Verdi, eleven minutes on foot. If you are carrying something fragile back, say so when you arrive and we will crate it properly before you leave.
The stairs are steep and there are fourteen of them. Tell us beforehand if that is a problem and we will bring the shelf down to the street.
Three things people write about
Six or more of anything, matched out of one firing. Allow seven to eleven weeks and expect a deposit of a third. We will tell you honestly if the date you need is not possible.
We supply a small number of kitchens and two shops. Minimum first order is twelve pieces, terms are thirty days, and we will not take on more than the kiln can carry.
Stoneware cannot be rethrown, but a broken piece from a set can usually be matched from a later firing. Send a photograph with the firing number from the base card.
Quicker than an email
The same day if you write between Thursday and Saturday. Monday otherwise, and two days longer in the week a kiln is loaded. Nothing goes unanswered, including the ones that turn out to be a no.
Until the crate is sealed, yes, and that is usually two days after you order. After it has gone, treat it as a return: thirty days, the piece back in its crate, and we refund the piece and the outward carriage.
Rarely, and only when it is close to a profile we already throw. A new shape takes four test firings before it is reliable, which is three months and several hundred euro of clay. We will say so plainly rather than take the money.
It depends entirely on the firing. After a good one there are four pieces on it; after a bad one, thirty. Everything there is a third off, usable, and flawed in a way we would not post. We cannot reserve from it or send photographs of it.
Twelve pieces, one kiln, eleven firings a year
Most questions answer themselves on the entry for the piece, where the weight, the capacity and the date of the next firing are written out.
